Daily Fiction encompasses more than 200 exquisite small designs for day-to-day use such as notebooks, gift wrapping, stickers, pencil sharpeners, scissors, various writing implements and much, much more. The Daily Fiction universe is intended as a candy shop for grown-ups, where you want to take everything home with you and experience that special ”I-want-it-all-feeling”.
The name, Daily Fiction, encourages creativity, play and creating the daily story that suits your personality. Personal style is more in focus than ever before, and we tell our individual stories through fashion, music, food, art and interior design. Whether your story is The Refined Story, The Feminine Story, The Creative Story, The Well Crafted & Classic Story or something completely different, Daily Fiction consists of a number of pieces that can be put together in countless ways.
The pieces Daily Fiction is inspired by the way collections are created in the world of fashion, through components such as colour combinations and great use of materials and prints. Daily Fiction is defined by its attention to detail, which is reflected in a contrasted blend of materials of dry over shiny, high-gloss over matte surfaces and moulded shapes over fabrics. The materials consist of a mixture of canvas, velvet, metal, glitter, metallic, plastic and paper, with a range of surfaces carefully chosen to give the collection its tactility.
The colour range has a playful and high-end expression, and contains no fewer than 18 colours, which come in metallic, matt and shiny versions. The classical and sharp colours are used to create colour-blocking and the metals add an eye-catching element. This creates an eclectic and sporty look with rich colour tones and bling details.
The collection features four abstract terrazzo prints, which take the best from trends in both fashion and interior design. There are two graphic black/white prints and two that are coloured in a light and dark version, in which the stone structure is more prominent. The look is both graphic and random at the same time, adding a certain dynamic to Daily Fiction. In addition, there are four striped prints in beautiful colour combinations that increase in complexity.
Britt Bonnesen, Brand Manager at Normann Copenhagen says:“For a long time we have wanted to add a new category of small design products to our existing collection of designs. Daily Fiction has allowed us to create a complete, anchored universe that offers a fantastic shopping experience. We get a lot of inspiration from fashion at Normann Copenhagen, so it was natural for us to look for a collaborator in the world of fashion. We are enormously pleased about the collaboration with Femmes Régionales, which are conceptually strong designers and have their finger on the pulse of the latest trends. Daily Fiction has its own life, but still fits well with Normann Copenhagen’s identity.”
